Meet The Capital
Network Team
Who we are
We love what we do! At The Capital Network, we’re a team of practical optimists driven by our shared vision for equity. We bring knowledge and unique perspectives from all sides of the funding process. We translate this experience into hands-on guidance for early-stage founders. We love people, numbers, making connections, and watching our founders blossom into confident fundraisers.
We’ve been helping people navigate the obstacles that first-time founders face since our start as a pitch session project at MIT Enterprise Forum in the 1990s. When we left the MIT Enterprise Forum to become a 501c3 in 2005, we shifted our focus toward a new mission: Provide guidance for first time founders of early stage startups and nurture both confidence and community. In 2020, we instituted its new mission—build a more inclusive and accessible funding ecosystem for the founders who need it most—expanding from our New England roots to become a nationwide resource and community hub.
